What Unrot stores, why, and what you can remove. Two sections: practising without an account, and connecting Discord.

Guest practice

You can try a real practice session without creating an account or sharing your name or email.

Guest progress is tied to a secure cookie on this device. It is not available on your other devices unless you create an account and save it.
We store the tracks and levels you choose, your guest sessions, answers, results, time spent, and earned XP so you can resume and save your work.
Unclaimed guest progress expires 7 days after your most recent activity.
If you create an account or sign in, eligible guest progress is transferred to your account and follows the normal account retention rules.
We use product analytics to understand whether guest practice works and where people encounter errors. Authentication secrets and answer content are not sent as analytics properties.
Expired, unclaimed guest progress is deleted automatically. Deleting your browser cookie can prevent this device from finding progress before it expires.

Connecting Discord is optional. Every part of Unrot works without it, and nothing about your practice, progress, or support access depends on it.
Discord is a separate service with its own terms and privacy practices. Joining the server puts you in a relationship with Discord that we are not a party to.
When you connect, Unrot receives and stores your Discord user ID, your username, your global name, and whether you are a member of the Unrot server, along with the timestamps of those events.
Those fields exist to link your two accounts, confirm your membership, grant the member and recognition roles, and pay the one-time join reward. Nothing else.
Unrot does not read, store, or analyse Discord message content. There is no message-reading bot and no privileged Discord data feed, so this is a missing capability rather than a policy we could quietly change.
The connection tokens Discord issues are used once to add you to the server and are then discarded. Unrot never stores them.
Disconnecting clears your Discord identity from Unrot and removes the roles we granted, on a best-effort basis. It does not remove you from the Discord server, which stays your decision. XP and badges you already earned are kept, and the record that the one-time reward was paid is kept so it cannot be earned twice.
Discord keeps its own copy of your account and server activity under its own policies. Removing your Unrot link does not reach into Discord's records.
